i realized that if i’m with someone else, i dont open the door.  this weekend, i was approaching a store with my bff and i seriously hung back & she opened the door.  she was like, “what, you don’t open doors?”  lol.  wtf.  when did that start and why?  maybe i’m just used to following people inside, so they are obviously opening the door first.   weird.

i don’t believe anyone has a right to comment on someone else’s body.  especially something that is shaming or policing.  growing up, i experienced some of that (to the degree that all women have their bodies policed).  mostly from my grandma.  and at my highest weight, from my mom.  my mom will be here in a week, and i’m wishing i were smaller so she won’t say anything...

daniellemertina: I’ve been thinking about this. It seems like pretty much all consolation for women about how they’re worthy/ not ugly and all of that comes from men. All of those discussions about how women don’t need make-up or are great when they’re natural in general and all of that, it seems like some man…
